Totally Chiang Mai launches with a first batch of guides across eight departments — Plan, Stay, See & Do, Places, Food, Culture, News and About. We've deliberately started with the pages that matter most for a first visit: getting here (in both directions), when to go, where to stay, the major temples, key neighbourhoods, and a first pass at the city's food scene.
Why we're starting small
Rather than launch with hundreds of thin, auto-generated pages, we're starting with a smaller number of properly researched, genuinely useful guides — and adding to it every week from here. Each department will keep growing: more temples, more neighbourhoods, more hotels in the directory, and more of the practical detail that makes a guide actually useful rather than just long.
What's coming next
- Expanded hotel directory entries, area by area.
- More individual attraction guides — markets, waterfalls, viewpoints and day trips like Pai and Doi Inthanon.
- Deeper neighbourhood coverage beyond the Old City and Nimman.
- Translated versions of key guides, starting with the languages most useful to our visitors.
